About the job:

  • Provide short term counselling sessions to those in employment to help them understand and overcome a broad range of issues
  • Support is provided in person, by phone or video sessions
  • Huge variety of clients, all booked for you.

  • You’ll provide tools and strategies for building resources
  • All work is completed in the session - high client contact, low admin
  • You may also visit organisational clients to provide individual and group support after an event disruption
  • 40 hours per week Monday to Friday rostered over 3 daily shifts (part time is also an option for a minimum of 24 hours over 3 days)

What you will bring to succeed

  • A strong work ethic, teamwork and passion are instrumental to your success in this role.
  • Sound understanding of a range of evidence based therapeutic models e.g., SFT, CBT, FACT
  • Tertiary counselling qualification and current APC with NZAC, NZCCA, DAPAANZ, SWRB
  • Knowledge of trauma intervention, including individual and group psychological first aid
  • Ideally 3 + years experience working with adults.
  • Life experience and well developed judgement
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple clients and priorities in a fast-paced working environment.

What's in it for you?

  • A competitive and negotiable salary
  • Full professional supervision, development and support
  • KPIs that don't clash with the therapy
  • The closest thing to being in private practise without having to collect or worry about money - guaranteed income even when appointments are cancelled.
  • A values driven organisation that take care of their staff by creating a positive, productive and safe environment whilst fostering your growth.
