Job Description Summary

Exciting opportunity exist to join the Group Cost Management team at Lloyds Banking Group. The role involves identifying and delivering opportunities to reduce cost through the provision of deep insight and data analysis, with the aim of supporting the Groups strategic ambition around Cost effectiveness and Cost: Income ratio.

Working in a non-hierarchical team where everyone’s opinion matters. Flexible working and locations.

Job Description

This role will be responsible for providing:

  • Analysis and Insight to enable identification of initiatives to drive strategic cost improvement and benefit flow. Establishing relationships across Divisions and Functions in the bank
  • Assimilate external data and scanning along with internal data to deliver insight which would influence

Cost management strategies

  • Accountable for monitoring trends on deep and key data points and important metrics (what does this mean?)
  • Proactively builds and maintains external and internal network to identify industry best practice
  • Responsible for ad-hoc projects as requested, working with broader teams as required.

Takes accountability for ensuring their own continuing development

KEY CAPABILITIES, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Track record in identifying and executing cost optimisation initiatives
  • An inquisitive capability which supports creativity and innovation
  • Ability to co-ordinate several pieces of work simultaneously without compromising timescales or quality
  • Experience of building strong collaborative working relationships and confidence across a wide variety of partners
  • Strong and proven analytical background with the ability to understand complex data relationships, trends analysis and build effective modelling
  • Finance experience and knowledge beneficial
  • Ability to manage the efficient and effective production of high quality output and analysis with excellent attention to detail in written and numerical outputs, often working independently
  • Deep expertise and capability to use analytical tools to develop and deliver analysis and reporting which enables business insight
  • Experience of using both internal and external data to build regular and ad hoc reporting and insight
  • Proven communication skills (verbal & written), with experience of engaging and influencing a variety of partners ideally at a senior level
  • Strong risk mentality including a proven track record to identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate risks
