PwC Law LLP is an independent law firm affiliated with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in Canada. We provide Canadian tax and corporate law advice and legal representation to Canadian and international clients, with lawyers based in Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, Halifax, Ottawa and Vancouver. Our lawyers share a common vision of practicing in a premier Canadian tax practice that has as its core principles excellence, integrity, and outstanding client service.

We are seeking a corporate associate to join our PwC Law team. Our practice is

centered on business law advisory and transactional implementation for PwC clients, including domestic and international business reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions. We work in collaboration with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (Canada) and the PwC international network, to bring integrated, high quality business law solutions to PwC clients. The successful candidate would have the opportunity to work with national and international clients and advisors. As a Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Use data and insights to inform conclusions and support decision-making.
  • Develop a point of view on key global trends, and how they impact clients.
  • Manage a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes for all parties.
  • Simplify complex messages, highlighting and summarising key points.
  • Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.

What you’ll bring to this role

  • An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work
  • A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences, developing and coaching diverse teams, and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard
  • 5+ years transactional experience in a busy corporate/commercial practice
  • A licence to practise law in one or more Canadian provinces
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Strong work ethic
  • Strong analytical, communication, drafting and writing skills
  • Must be self-motivated with a genuine desire to learn the law
  • Willingness to participate in team-based initiatives for growth and development and to implement innovation in our delivery of services
  • Must be digitally enabled/engaged and comfortable with using and learning technology
  • Willingness to use our team project management tools
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage deadlines
  • Interest in working collaboratively as part of a team
