Job Description

Our Dunedin site services the deep-sea fishing operations and sees a high volume of numerous frozen product lines being received and dispatched on a regular basis.

They work closely with other Talley’s coolstores around the country and the logistics department to achieve a high standard of operational outcomes.

Reporting to the Nelson General Manager, the position will be responsible for leading the coolstore team in all aspects of the site operations.

This is a very challenging role that requires a range of skills, including leading and motivating a team of people with different strengths.

Also the ability to ensure that all product is correctly loaded and stored to ensure they meet strict compliance requirements and deadlines.

Who are you?

You will need to be highly organised, ensuring the products are received and dispatched on schedule, as well as being involved in implementing company strategies.

For this role, you’ll need :

• Excellent communication and organisational skills with attention to detail
• Outstanding computer and administration skills
• Ability to lead a small office and coolstore team, and ability to delegate
• An enthusiastic and hardworking ability to work, with flexible hours including the weekends
• Knowledge of inventory control systems
• Current forklift licence
