About the role and who we are looking for:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Cook to work at our Military Camp site in Burnham. Hours of work are Permanent Full Time, as rostered across 7 days (40hrs per week).
You will be responsible for:
In this position you will be responsible for the preparation, cooking, and presenting of food. You will also be planning and catering for buffets and functions as required, developing menus to meet special dietary and cultural needs, and other general kitchen duties. In addition, you will be responsible for receiving and storing kitchen supplies, assisting with menu planning, and maintaining the consumer's satisfaction - this role is all go!
Ideal skills and experience you will have:
If you're our perfect candidate you will be hard working, with a friendly outgoing personality and a 'can do' attitude. You will already have some experience working in a commercial kitchen producing high quality food and ideally you will hold food safety certificates (Unit Standard 167 and 168), or be happy to train for one. You will need to have the ability to work independently and in team but, most importantly you will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality.
