Hastings Racecourse & Casino is currently recruiting for a Cook. This position is responsible for ensuring quality food preparation for service. Tasks include food preparation as well as maintaining cleanliness of work area. Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following qualifications:

• Must possess inter-provincial journeymen’s papers or must meet the minimum. requirements for writing the exam within 6 months.
• 2-3 years cooking/training in a class hotel kitchen as a 3rd Cook or equivalent.
• 2-4 years pastry experience.
• International, volume and line cooking experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a high degree of self-motivation.
• Is innovative and creative.
• Must be able to lift 25 kg.
• Successful candidate must have proven customer service skills with both staff and guests.

Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule. The scheduled hours of work will be based on customer and business needs
