About the role and who we are looking for: 

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and empathetic Fixed Term, part-time Cook to work at a prestigious site in Hastings.

This is a fixed-term part-time opportunity with a maximum of 16 hours a week that starts ASAP and runs until 30/05/2022. There is the potential to increase this term further once proven for the right candidate.

What would you be expected to do:

In this position you will be cooking as well as serving of food.  This is a busy site and requires a speedy, reliable, independent and a strong people-person. You will also be assisting with the general kitchen and cleaning duties. Providing exceptional service to the staff, employees and client is an absolute must!

Ideal skills and experience you will have:

• Will be hard working, with a friendly outgoing personality and a 'can do' attitude.
• Will know their way around a kitchen and must have proven cooking skills.
• Will have experience working in the food industry and ideally hold food safety certificates (Unit Standard 167 & 168) or be happy to train for one.
• Will have excellent time management and be able to work well under pressure.
• will have exceptional customer service and be able to operate a till and eftpos.
• Most importantly will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality.

To be considered for this position you will: 

• be a New Zealand citizen or resident or be in position of a valid NZ work visa.
• need to Pass a Pre-employment Background Check.
• need to provide evidence of your Covid-19 vaccination status.
