About the role and who we are looking for:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Casual Cook to work at Nelson Hospital DHB. Hours of work are on an as and when required basis.

The great things you'll do:

In this position you will be responsible for assisting the team with cooking, preparing, portioning and serving quality meals according to dietitian specifications and, ensuring the quality of every dish we serve! You will need to assist with ordering and menu development as well as maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and assisting with general kitchen duties.

What we are looking for:

If you're our perfect candidate you will be hard working, with a friendly outgoing personality and a 'can do' attitude. You will already have some experience working in a commercial kitchen with large scale production and/or Café experience. Ideally you hold a food safety certificate (Unit Standard 167) or be happy to train for one. You will need to have the ability to work independently and confidently but, most importantly you will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality.
