About the role and who we are looking for:

We are looking for highly motivated and all-round awesome Cook who wants to showcase their appetite for focusing on delivering fresh, nutritional sound meals within an aged care environment to work 16 hours per week. Saturday and Sunday 09.00 to 17:30 each day.

So, what would you be expected to do??

• Preparing, baking, cooking and presenting mouth-watering and innovative dishes for our residents
• Maintain an allergen awareness and present options for nutritional healthy eating
• Monitoring and maintaining food safety compliance

Ideal skills and experience you will have:

This position requires a person with leadership skills and a person who takes pride in personal presentation and cleanliness of the kitchen. A friendly and helpful nature is important to us, the residents and client.

You will already have some experience working in a commercial kitchen, be familiar with bulk food cooking and requirements in an aged care environment and ideally you will hold a food safety certificate (Unit Standard 167) or be happy to train for one. You will need to have the ability to work independently and confidently but most importantly you will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality.
