The Consumer Products & Experiences team at Netflix seeks to amplify fan love around key Netflix properties through physical products, programs at retail, experiences and publishing. This is a unique opportunity to be an important part of a growing Netflix initiative.

The Role: 

We are looking for a talented, collaborative and adaptable contracts and rights manager to join our London-based Consumer Products & Experience business and legal affairs team, supporting our European and UK/IE consumer products business. 

If you’re excellent at organization, and have a high level of attention to detail, this may be the right role for you!  You will be quick-thinking, adaptable to change, able to juggle multiple responsibilities at the same time and are self-motivated. You must be able to work proactively, independently and reliably under tight time-frames.  You will work closely with the Netflix Consumer Products & Experiences business team, as well as counterparts in various Content Legal functions to ​extract and synthesize information necessary to guide the Consumer Products & Experiences team as they develop their products and programs.

This role will be responsible for the following elements for our EMEA Consumer Products & Experiences team:

• Review of various agreements (options, acquisition agreements, licenses, talent agreements) to confirm rights controlled by Netflix for exploitation in consumer products and experiences; 
• Collaboration with product development and creative teams on rights and clearances for materials to be used on consumer products & marketing, including style guides or retail toolkits;
• Data management: Uploading of contract terms into contracts management tool (and partnering with operations on improving such tools); and
• Partnering with consumer products operations, finance/accounting and other cross functional partners on accounting, product submissions and licensee management questions.

Preferred candidate profile:

• 4+ years in contract review/analysis for a major studio, brand or similar organization, ideally as contracts manager, contracts specialist, paralegal, or similar function. Familiarity with entertainment industry contracts is a plus. 
• You are intellectually curious, demonstrate great initiative and self-motivation, and you are excited and inspired by the Netflix culture. 
• You can adapt to a role where the work is varied and changeable, and can pivot if shifts or surprises arise.
• You are collaborative, enjoy working as part of a geographically widespread team and are able to build great relationships across the business whilst continuing to work independently.
• You ask questions and seek information cross-functionally and at all levels of the business.
• You have strong analytical capabilities and judgment, and a willingness to tackle matters outside your area of expertise.
• You are comfortable assessing risk and making smart decisions in the face of ambiguity.
• Fluent English is required; proficiency in Spanish, French or German is a plus.
