About the team
Our Corporate Services division provide strategies, solutions and services that make our clients’ working lives easier, and their projects more efficient and effective.
We are comprised of six branches, each helping to support and enable more than 30,000 colleagues across the whole of Transport.
The opportunity
Our Asset and Workplace Services Contracts team is in a growth phase and is currently looking for two motivated, commercially astute Contracts Manager to manage a range of facilities management and other workplace support Contracts. Reporting to the Senior Contracts Manager, these role will drive efficiency, consistency, and value for money to enable and maximise opportunities for service delivery, contract performance, and operational success and commercial governance across our contracts.
We are seeking one experienced Permanent Fulltime Contracts Managers and one Fixed term Fulltime Contracts Manager with excellent commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement experience to join the team. The role will work with internal stakeholder, customers and external service providers across a number of contracts and business functions
This is a newly created team which will involve reinvigorating the department’s approach to contract and commercial management including its contracting strategies, governance and implementing best practices and process to enable efficient , accountable and high perofrming contract delivery.

What you will be involved with;
This roles will lead and develop contract management plans aligned to busienss strategies and plan with input from the asset and workplace services cross-functional team to ensure the organisation attains the best value in the goods and services required to enable achievement of its goals.
The role will ensure effective management, administration and governance of all contracts under management, and overseeing compliance with all procurement and contracting policies, processes and procedures and governance frameworks.
In this role, you will be providing a range of advice in relation to contract management and be responsible for developing and managing contract management plans, variations, contract deliverables, [performance management, contract reporting, contract financial management and contract governance.
About you
Ideal experience, skills and personal qualities for success in this role:
The successful candidate will be tertiary qualified in business, commerce, law, construction management, engineering or a relevant discipline, and / or have equivalent demonstrated experience in best practice contracts and commercial management, including significant experience in high level contract negotiation.
Strong stakeholder and supplier management skills in the delivery of innovative, structured well-governed contract management services.
Strong experience in Contract Performance management.
Robust commercial experience in the management of complex and high value contracts;
Excellent written and verbal communicator, ability to communicate and influence.
Proven experience in practical application of commercial principles and business acumen to solve complex contract and commercial issues.
Proven ability to collaborate, build relationships and influence individuals at all levels in a fast paced complex environment.
Excellent organisational skills, able to juggle several priorities at once.
Demonstrated strong working knowledge and understanding of NSW Government Procurement and Contract Management policies and guidelines or equivalent.
Resilience, proactivity, and an ability to work at pace in an evolving and demanding environment.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is Grade 9A ($138,670 ) – 9E (155,309) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
