About the team

 

This role sits in the commercial services division of TfNSW within the Development Branch. The Transport Asset Revitalisation Program (TARP) business is a special purpose business which has been established to assess properties, owned by either Transport for NSW (TfNSW) or Transport Asset Holding Entity (TAHE) formerly known as RailCorp, which are no longer required as part of their core businesses.  TARP properties are typically adjacent to rail networks, existing roads/freeways or associated assets (e.g bridges, tunnels etc) and well located near services.  The TARP Team take steps (including working with a wide range of advisers) to make the lands sale ready followed by further steps to transact the sale of the lands as part of creating an improved urban environment.

 

 

The opportunity

 

Right now, we have multiple fixed-term full-time opportunities for Contracts Administrators to join our TARP business unit within Commercial Services. The Contracts Administrator is responsible for the effective administration of Professional Services Contracts (PSC) and Subject Matter Experts/Specialist Service Providers (SME) contracts, including administering and recommending authorisation of payments, maintaining contract databases, undertaking issues identification, and ensuring compliance with contract requirements.

 

This role provides contracts administration support to our project team throughout the course of each project including:

 

- Collection and compilation of contractual data required for reporting;

- Administering payment of progress claims and invoices;

- Correct and prompt obtaining of approvals through the Briefing Note process;

- Correct and proficient use of contract management systems and processes;

- Guidance on contract conditions, Procurement Competition Limits, Financial & General Delegations and support for project teams to enable informed decision making and improved contract outcomes.

 

Key aspects of the role are:

 

Strong Written and verbal Communication Skills (logical, succinct, clear written expression covering everything that needs to be addressed)

Ability to Gather Information from multiple internal stakeholders (demonstrating interpersonal communication)

Well organised in planning ahead and prioritising tasks for each working week

About you

 

You have proven experience, commercial understanding and proficiency in contracts administration across a range of contract types. You have a high level of organisational and planning skills with the ability to handle a volume of work across the project. You have excellent communication skills (including listening and written skills) with the ability to speak to multiple stakeholders across the TfNSW cluster and important external partners.

 

Salary and Benefits
