Key Responsibilities:
- Business Growth: Contributes to strategic planning with ‘One Microsoft’ peers & aligns team plans accordingly. Coaches sellers on how to create business value for customers, ensuring effective collaboration across internal organization boundaries & with Partners to accelerate deployment & adoption & drive digital transformation with customers.
- Business Excellence: Leads the end-to-end business for Public Safety and National Security, ensuring that sellers meet sales targets & operational standards per required Sales processes & methods. Coaches sellers on business & industry insights, ensuring they leverage industry Go To Market assets & motions to lead transformational customer conversations. Drives sellers to continuously build their sales expertise.
- People & Culture Leadership: Delivers success by empowering sellers, driving accountability & executing per Microsoft expectations for Management Excellence, Leadership Principles, Values & Culture.
Qualifications
Key Capabilities: Individuals in the Sales Manager role should be able to demonstrate the following capabilities:
- Business Growth - Ability to: Define & execute sales plans to meet strategic & financial targets, leveraging industry, partner & Go To Market knowledge; Skilled in stakeholder management & relationship building, collaborating across organizational boundaries & coaching sellers in sales methods such as Business Value Selling & 3-Horizon modelling to uncover customer needs & differentiate business value.
- Business Excellence - Ability to: Drive seller accountability to successfully meet sales targets & expected operational standards; Skilled in ensuring seller discipline in qualification, pipeline hygiene & close planning, & in building seller proficiency by coaching on required sales behaviors, skills & knowledge.
- People & Culture Leadership - Ability to: Develop diverse, inclusive teams, role modeling excellence in driving clarity, generating energy & delivering success through empowering others; Skilled in hiring, coaching, team & talent building & change management.
