The Surgical services at Northland DHB are seeking a Consultant Urologist to fill a permanent position based in Northland, New Zealand. This is a full time position however the hours could be flexed around the needs of the individual - please feel free to reach out if you would like to further discuss.

We are looking for someone to provide safe, efficient and effective urology services for the Northland community. This role is pre-dominantly based in Whangārei however does include occasional travel to rural areas including Kaitaia Hospital on a rostered basis. There is an on-call roster split between consultants and you will also need to participate in the supervision and teaching of resident medical officers within the urology service.

Whangārei Hospital is the largest hospital in Northland providing secondary care services, supported by three regional hospitals in Kaitaia; Kawakawa, and Dargaville. Northland covers an area of 12,600 square kilometres with a growing population of more than 190,000. It boasts some of the most scenic and exciting coastal areas of New Zealand in a subtropical climate. Whangārei is a 25-minute flight or 2-hour drive from Auckland City
