This is a great opportunity for someone with leadership experience to lead a small team that will make a real difference in the community. The successful candidate will have experience in commercial scale projects and a strong residential build understanding.

The role is based in Dunedin and will require occasional travel to sites and stakeholders around South Otago & Southland

The role has come about due to rapid expansion within the business. You’ll be responsible for the contractual, financial and risk management within the business by fully understanding financial performance, managing profitability, supporting cost optimization and cash flow.

They have gained contracts retrofitting residential housing with new projects up coming. The successful candidate will have use their resources to develop the business.

Responsibilities

• Management of the small team of 4
• Managing budgets, expenses, pricing, and commercial arrangements
• Agreeing timescales, costs and resources needed to deliver the various projects
• Overseeing several projects at the same time
• Ensuring that each stage of the project happens on time, on budget and to a high standard
• Reporting regularly on progress to the client and stakeholders
• Demonstrating knowledge of all areas of construction
• Partnering with key internal stakeholders around financial performance and commercial analysis
• Analyzing the business performance, profitability, revenue, and pricing
• Drive efficiencies to ensure contracts remain financially viable and delivered on budget

Skills & Experience Required

• Strong understanding of MS Projects and Aconex
• Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying or Project Management
• Ability to influence and negotiate effectively with clients and sub-contractors
• Established and proven leadership capabilities and well-established communication and interpersonal skills.

Remuneration;

Up to $140k with Bonus scheme + Car + Benefits.
