These have been interesting times for everyone around the world, but here at CTR we hope that 2022 is going to be better and we are thinking ahead.

The New Zealand construction industry has experienced confident levels of activity with millions worth of construction starting to build up for 2022. This is predicted to continue with total construction expenditure expected to keep growing.

Construction confidence is forecast top be strong for 2022 and is expected to push into 2023. This represents all sectors; commercial, residential, industrial and civil. The current construction activity is being driven by demand for housing and required infrastructure. Which has meant increased spending on commercial offices, housing, roads, rail and water supply.

Construction & Technical Recruitment (CTR) have over 50 years combined experience recruiting within the New Zealand built environment and have assisted hundreds of professionals and their families move to New Zealand.

Historically New Zealand has not produced enough construction and technical professionals to meet the demand of the market so have welcomed talent from overseas.

Due to the recent pandemic we have seen no overseas talent coming to New Zealand, but with vaccines being rolled out across the world and some form of vaccine passport in some description being on the table, maybe we could start seeing talent from overs seas coming to New Zealand during 2022.

To be considered you will need to have:

• Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working within a consultancy, contractor or government agency
• Hold a relevant technical tertiary degree or diploma
• Excellent time management and team work skills
• Very good English communication skills – both written and verbal
• To meet the NZ Immigration requirements in relation to Covid Criteria.
