Conference & Events Manager’s Core Duties

  • Responsible for full conference and event logistics
  • Coordinate list of panellists and attendees, biographies and headshots
  • Send invitations to panellists and attendees, and manage responses
  • Prepare panellist briefing packs
  • Manage list of attendees and create name badges
  • Coordinate all logistics details with the venue, including catering, equipment, AV, timings, etc.
  • Attend all events, with potential overnight stays
  • Support with registration on the day of the event and ensure smooth running of the event
  • Provide event analytics, including attendee and rsvp rates
  • Support the EA team with any other duties related to this series of events

Conference & Events Manager’s Skills Required

  • 2-3 years’ experience organising conferences for up to 200 guests
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with contract negotiation and vendor management
  • Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
  • Pro-active, creative and solution orientated
  • High level MS Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with mail merge to create name badges
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Experience in the charity sector (desirable)
