The Company

Christchurch Ready Mix Concrete Limited is a well-established, locally owned Ready Mix Concrete supplier which also specialises in aggregates and civil contracting.

The Role

The aim of this role is to ensure the effective manufacture of quality concrete that meets engineering and customer specifications. Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, this position requires close liaison with the Laboratory Technician, and Concrete Mixer Drivers. This role is key to ensuring the success of our daily production plan.

Job Requirements:

Key responsibilities will be:

• Slump quality
• Accurate documentation
• Optimising plant efficiency
• Driver liaison
• Technical team liaison
• Ability to make concrete test cylinders if required
• Ensuring concrete meets quality standards

The successful candidate will:

• Have a concrete manufacturing and processing background
• Be mechanically minded
• Have a solid background in computerised systems
• Be able to demonstrate that product quality is paramount
• Be able to multi task under pressure
• Have meticulous attention to detail and a very high level of accuracy
• Have proven ability to work in a small team with a positive "can do" attitude
• Have sound knowledge of concrete raw materials
• Have a good numeracy and computer literacy

Hours of work are Monday to Friday, with work on Saturday mornings as and when required. You need to be flexible to accommodate irregular work hours and start times.
