Hain Celestial Canada, a division of the US-based Hain Celestial Group, is a leading organic and natural products company with operations in North America, Europe and India.  We provide consumers with superior food and personal care products for a healthy way of life.  We are currently seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of COMPOUNDER

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES  

• To compound all varieties of bulk                        
• Weigh chemicals accurately
• Return unused chemicals to proper location after use
• Make adjustments to batches as per the lab or manufacturing supervisor
• Take samples to lab in a timely fashion
• Documentation of the following:
  • Lot #'s on batch sheet
  • Locations on batch sheet for each raw material
  • Enter batch into the log on the computer
  • Assign lot # for the batch
  • Record actual usage on batch sheet                        
• Report spills or mistakes immediately to your supervisor                        
• Report all faulty and broken equipment to your supervisor
• Locate incoming raw materials when required and document
• Wash and clean tanks when required
• Update work in progress board as needed
• Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor or another manager

COMPETENCIES (Behavioural & Technical Skills)

• Able to lift 5 lbs. to 35 lbs.
• Must speak, read and write English
• Ability to follow chemical batch sheets
• Maintain fast work pace
• Flexible working hours

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of experience in a similar role
