About the Team
The Safety, Environment and Regulation division upholds safety and sustainability in our transport system. We’re working to deliver globally-recognised, safe, sustainable transport for our people, customers and the community.
The Regulatory Operations branch within SER has the Partnerships and Regulatory Assurance Team where the Audit and Investigations Unit is positioned. This unit has responsibility for leading the assurance function including compliance relating to quality management systems ensuring accreditation and certification to relevant national and international standards, audit and investigations for the branch, including conducting audits of third party scheme participants and systems within the branch.
The opportunity
Right now, we have an opportunity for a Compliance Quality Officer, the role is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and auditing the quality management system for camera enforcement programs to the ISO/IEC 17025 and AS/NZ 9001 standards.
Reporting to the Compliance Quality & Risk Officer you will be responsible for providing internal quality assurance activities to meet the requirements of the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) accredited and certified quality management system, while contributing to monitoring and assurance of key internal processes and external service providers.
You will also contribute to identifying and developing systems and data analytics that proactively identify high areas of risk.

About you
We are looking for a team player who has excellent communication skills, both oral and written, as you will be liaising with a variety of internal and external stakeholders virtually, electronically and face to face. You will be working with these stakeholders by evaluating, improving and assisting with processes to collaborate and ensure adherence to the quality management system and relevant standards.
You will have high attention to detail with the ability to analyse, problem solve and manage sensitive information and databases within a technical, testing, and quality assurance environment.
Ideally you will have experience in conducting internal audits and reporting to varying levels within the organisation.
Essential to succeed in this role is the ability to manage several tasks simultaneously with competing deadlines in a timely manner.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is USS Grade 7 ($94,824 - $100,075) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
