Job Description

We are looking for an experienced nightshift Compliance Despatch Officer to join our Global Logistics – Resources & Industrials division based in Moranbah. Working Thursday to Wednesday,  12-hour shifts (6pm – 6am), you will be responsible for controlling and coordinating the inventory management.

With a strong focus on safety, compliance and expert security response capabilities, this position is responsible for ensuring the effective distribution of both inbound and outbound high consequence dangerous goods. Night Shift Compliance Dispatch Officer will be responsible to ensure all nightshift documentation is complete for line haul carrier pickups and that carriers are compliant with current Ammonium Nitrate transport procedures. This role also includes security site parameter checks and DNA Drug and Alcohol testing. Safety and compliance will be critical to this role, along with maintaining effective communication to ensure company objectives are achieved.

As the Despatch Officer, you will:

  • Ensure the correct documentation is completed for line haul carrier pickups.
  • Create orders in the SAP and MOVE system.
  • Maintain the Toll Time Slot booking portal.
  • Support onsite night shift yard operators where required.
  • Perform onsite Drug and Alcohol testing when requested.
  • Conduct regular site security rounds ensuring site parameters are secure.
  • Complete Dyno administration log checks and HDGV Audits on carrier vehicles.

Qualifications

 To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within Transport/Logistics.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to meet competing deadlines.
  • Computer literacy: MS Office Suite and SAP – intermediate skill set.
  • Analytical mindset: critical thinking, problem solving and logical reasoning.
  • Outstanding communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Adaptability to evolving and dynamic work environments.
  • The ability to work autonomously and within a team.  

Other requirements:

  • SSAN Sensitive Security Ammonium Nitrate / QESC Queensland Explosives Security Clearance (Preferred or willing to obtain)
  • Unarmed Security Licence (Preferred or willing to obtain)
