Job Description

This small, dynamic and progressive organisation with a flat structure leads and delivers based on their core values and principles. Do these align with yours?

Kaitiakitanga
 - Care for our community

Kotahitanga - Work together

TÅ« Tika - Do the right thing

Manaakitanga - Look after each other

We are looking for someone who embodies these values and is passionate about delivering care across the community with patient outcomes at the forefront.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • This is a true "work from home" opportunity. Home is your base and your nursing supplies will be ordered and delivered fortnightly. Collegial support is on hand via regular team video and phone sessions.
  • Predominantly this role will see you out and about delivering specialist wound care (and some other district nursing tasks) in people's homes.
  • You'll work in conjunction with another Wellington based colleague, receiving a number of referrals each day to visit.
  • There is huge growth in the region. Therefore, you'll also have the opportunity to do a bit of PR - visit GP clinics, highlight your service and aim to increase referrals.
  • You'll work 8 days per fortnight. These hours are guaranteed regardless of referral volumes.

ABOUT YOU

  • A Registered Nurse with APC
  • You work from a strong values base - this is essential and more important than where you have gained your nursing skills
  • We are open to ward, community, practise, aged care nursing backgrounds
  • You are passionate about the community and know that this is where you'll thrive
  • You love to connect and build strong foundations with your patients. You will advocate for their needs, improve and adapt where appropriate.
  • Confidence in your ability and what is best for your patient will be critical in ensuring that the right level of care is provided, in real time
  • A team player, someone who can build professional relationships in the community
  • Well organised with the ability to self-direct and manage a busy workload, from your own home base
  • A current full driver’s licence is essential

THE EXTRAS

  • Company car with fuel card for work use, laptop and phone
  • The reward of supporting a client’s journey to maintain independence
  • The chance to utilise a whole range of skills in client’s homes
  • A dynamic and supportive work environment
