Te Iwi O Ngati Kahu Trust is a kaupapa Maori social service provider, serving the communities of South Auckland and Te Tai Tokerau for over 30 years in advocacy, care services and support services leading to the restoration of whanau wellbeing.
We invite people with proven skills and experience in the social service sector to join our team of social workers, counsellors and kaiawhina, in their important work of delivering tikanga based social interventions and solutions.
MŠte tūnga | About the Role:
This is a part time (20 hours) role based in Whangarei working with people and whanau in the community who require additional support while in isolation with Covid-19.
The Community Connector will work closely with government organisations and NGOs to support people to navigate and connect to various services available in their community while they are self-isolating, during recovery and returning to independence.
The support provided may include completing assessments, developing wellbeing plans with clients, advocating for clients with other partner agencies for appropriate supports during their isolation period and connecting them to other agencies for ongoing support.
