About the team
Sydney Metro West is the city’s next underground metro railway. This investment will transform Sydney for generations to come; doubling rail capacity between Parramatta and the CBD, linking new communities to rail services and supporting employment growth and new housing supply. It’s a program of epic proportions which will bring together technical specialists, world-class technology and innovative ways of working.
The opportunity
Right now, we have an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Communications Manager to join Sydney Metro West. If you are passionate about communications and community engagement with demonstrated experience on major infrastructure projects, then look no further.
This role will initially focus on community engagement through early planning to ensure a coordinated engagement approach is undertaken by Sydney Metro within the local communities in which it operates.
As the project transitions into delivery this role will then be responsible for working with our contract delivery partners to ensure effective coordination between key project stakeholders and Sydney Metro. The role will engage with and manage issues around affected individuals, businesses and communities and ensure delivery partners comply with community engagement contractual requirements for the Project.

About you
Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
You will have exceptional written and verbal communication skills and be naturally self-driven
An ability to work flexibly and effectively in a busy environment where priorities often change
Result oriented with a keen sense of urgency
Appropriate tertiary qualifications in communications, media or stakeholder and community relations, and demonstrated relevant industry experience
Salary and benefits
