About the role and who we are looking for:

At Compass Group, we have an exciting opportunity for an amazing Part Time Commis Chef to join our team at our Massey University Campus based in Albany. 20hrs of work per week rostered across the week.

What would you be expected to do:

This is not your average Chef opportunity - this is a chance to challenge yourself in a unique environment while working with premium service and product. The Chef is employed to prepare, cook and serve good quality food for customers or clients, in conjunction with the contractual requirements of the unit. The Chef must ensure that all tasks associated with food production are performed with due regard for all Health and Safety and Food Safety regulations.

We want Chefs who are dedicated to producing quality food, delivering exceptional customer service to our patrons and who are passionate about working within a safety conscientious kitchen environment.

As the Chef; you will be cooking meals (breakfasts and lunches), cabinet food, functions, and serving food. You will also be assisting with general kitchen and cleaning duties.

About you:

If you're our perfect candidate, you will be a qualified chef with previous experience working in a commercial kitchen. As a hardworking, team player who is able to work under pressure, you will be creative, innovative and flexible! You will have general catering/chef experience but most importantly you will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality.
