Future' is the name for the programme that will see Asda create their new operating model, independent from Walmart.  Commercial will undoubtedly be one of the most ambitious parts of this work - the decisions made will underpin the way the entire business will operate in the future.

Working as part of the Commercial Transformation team, there is a broad scope of data projects and deliverables as part of the Commercial Future scope, this role will support the Senior Manager of Commercial Transformation – Future, in planning, developing and implementing key projects and products to deliver the objectives of the Commercial Future Program

The Role

As the Commercial Transformation Manager, you will be working collaboratively with key stakeholders across the Commercial function, Suppliers, Technology teams, Future Program, and 3rd party technology vendors in driving the deliverables of the program activities. You will be supporting the design, development, and delivery of the commercial future initiatives – focussed in particular on Data re-platforming, ‘tail' data systems, and Retail Link replacement (Decision support).

You will be responsible for managing the critical path of the Commercial and overall Future Program timeline and managing cross functional delivery teams to drive the delivery of the program outcomes.

You will attend relevant forums, meetings and briefings to provide updates and presenting to the cross functional stakeholders, Commercial teams, and Suppliers. You will also work collaboratively across the Commercial Transformation team to map interdependencies and ensure the project outcomes and relevant data requirements and integrations are planned.

About You

• You will have the ability to understand customer/user requirements and work collaboratively and at pace to implement solutions to meet their needs.
• A good knowledge of the commercial processes, systems, and data is essential, with experience of Asda preferred.
• A self-motivated individual with the ability to act on their own initiative with the drive to pick up and learn new skills and technologies when required.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in an agile environment
• The ability to understand and deal with complex problems and be able to make decisions at pace when required.
• Ability to work cross functionally, challenging and influencing a diverse set of stakeholders at all levels of the business, and have excellent communication skills.
• You will need to be comfortable working in a fast paced, ambiguous/fluid environment and be able to use your own initiative to navigate changing priorities.
