About this role
To deliver best in class, highly accurate, quarterly and bi-annual planning and forecast execution for SME Trading across EE and BT. This role is responsible for collaborating with Channel, Marketing, Product and Trading teams in order to pull together and update the volume and value plan that delivers the revenue and profit over 5 years.
You'll have the following responsibilities
Own and build the SME MTP Plan
Deliver a consolidated model that shows the hydraulics of the business plan and how the product sets are seamlessly linked together
Work with stakeholders to gather relevant inputs incl. Marketing, Props, Sales Channels, Finance
Work with finance to deliver the monthly outlook update
Work closely with the finance team on MTP/budget, creating all the key inputs and ensuring the financial targets are hydraulic and linked properly to business enablers/outcomes rather than just a financially driven trend.
Monitor performance against MTP metrics to assure ongoing quality (e.g. asses ongoing level of OOC charges), and explaining variance from MTP
Own and build the Quarterly Readiness for SME
Responsible for the creation of detailed, accurate forecast, across multiple lenses (channel, products, volume, value) for the quarterly planning cycle
Collaborate with channel, commercial, marketing, props, finance, and pricing leads to ensure the right quarterly forecast is being set, to drive accurate outlook on performance
Identify, through the planning process, gaps to target and work with stakeholders to influence the correct gap closure plans
Partner with key stakeholders across SME and wider functions in Enterprise
Partner with the sales channels to handle questions with regards MTP targeting
Create detailed analysis on trends and provides counsel to stakeholders to help identify activities to close gaps
Work with the Trading Performance Reporting & Analytics team to get the one truth on internal commercial & propositions data.
You'll have the following skills & experience
Commercial acumen: understanding of the levers that drive commercial performance including competitors, marketing, customer proposition, pricing, regulation/legal, sales and financials and what we need to dial up and dial down to maximise outcomes.
Financially literate: able to understand how operational performance of a customer proposition translates to financial outcomes in the form of a P&L. Support the development and assessment of complex business cases that may impact numerous parts of the business.
Outcome orientated: The role holder must be focused on delivering the best outcomes, being ready to challenge stakeholders as needed and manage areas of conflict with data driven recommendations to deliver at pace.
Exemplary Communicator: Verbal and PowerPoint presentations that boil complex plans and processes into the key relevant information and/or decision point for stakeholders in BT Enterprise.
Leadership and Stakeholder Management manages conflicting priorities bringing the virtual team and stakeholders with them on the journey.
