Either way, we have an opportunity that might be just right for you as an electrical Meter Operative in our Industrial and Commercial team.
Working for EDF you will join the market leader in Electricity where you will install, commission and maintain a range of products such as electrical metering, electric vehicles charging points, energy monitoring solutions, telecommunications equipment and control equipment for business customers and the public sector.
A high level of professionalism is required in liaising with customers, whilst onsite installing a range of metering products. You should be equally working safely whilst carrying out works yourself, so a full suite of competencies will be essential. You will be accountable for the safety, quality, compliance and commercial success of your daily activities.
You will be field based and involves working nation-wide so travel and overnight stays can be part of the role but naturally we try to allocate works to the nearest installer where practical. Some overnight stays may be necessary and we pay for travel and meals but don’t expect to be away from home every day.
Although being a remote worker, you will also be part of a team environment where one of the main ethics is helping each other, regular face to face team meeting/get togethers are held where company information is shared and talked about in a friendly and relaxed manner. You have the potential to earn up to £37,500, this is made up of; a salary up to £31,500 (dependant on skills & experience), 3% company bonus & up to £5,000 performance incentive scheme. We also offer an initial 20 days’ annual leave, increasing with length of service, plus bank holidays. Performance incentive schemes and overtime opportunities can boost earnings even further. All tools, equipment, uniform and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided, along with a company vehicle, mobile phone and tablet. It is essential that you are a qualified Electrician C&G, NVQ CG236 Part 1 -2 or equivalent with excellent communication skills both written and verbal at all levels of stake holders and competent IT skills across digital platforms.
