About this role

It’s impossible to not be intrigued by BT Enterprise, we have around 1.2 million customers and serve over half the FTSE 350. You'll have the following responsibilities

The main challenge for this role is how you will build commercial propositions that will shape our customers future? We need you to build commercial solutions that will blow the socks off our customers and a strategy that excites our sales team.  We need you to get inside the minds of our customers, understand their challenges and then create commercial plans that compel them to act and choose BT.

This role will help drive and implement the commercial strategy for digital infrastructure and workplace solutions and is responsible for ensuring commercial excellence in both our digital solutions propositions and our go-to-market plans.

  • Working with the Digital Workplace senior managers in setting the insight driven business plan for the segment and the right commercial strategy to deliver the business growth
  • Be the expert on customers’ commercial needs and buying patterns, based on market commercial insight and win/loss trading analysis and translate this into how we can better win in the market
  • Analyse opportunities for growth in our base and target acquisition market, lead on producing business benefit and business cases to execute on plans as part of future of work go-to-market
  • Work with key stakeholders to define target cohorts of customers for existing and new digital solutions, translating this into business benefits
  • Monitor and track performance (along with trading team) to ensure initiatives deliver benefits as planned, identifying ideas to tackle underperformance and when to exploit opportunities to accelerate and outperform plan
  • Help defining the 5-year plan (in detail for 18 months) for digital solutions growth, leading on strategy for annual MTP input for your area

The primary focus will be on our networking solutions (SDWAN, internet, plus transition from traditional WAN solutions) but will also cover focus on digital workplace solution selling with security and cloud services combined into network solutions. 

You'll have the following skills & experience

Your attitude to driving change, constantly learning, engaging with stakeholders and making data insight driven decisions is the most important skill.  You will also need:

  • The ability to lead, influence, and drive successful stakeholder management for delivery of brilliant insight and initiatives
  • Insight and strategy skills to assess, define and translate customer needs, market trends and trading data into impactful go-to-market action
  • Commercial acumen to produce growth strategy for the area and benefits into MTP through data driven commercial initiatives
  • Be comfortable analysing lots of different data sources (often of varying quality) and working with MI/data teams to produce insights and repeatable reports
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication to all levels of BT and customers
