Job Description
Commercial Manager to support and drive TTB Directs growth ambitions, supporting the creation of competitive propositions across the full product portfolio and write deals that underpin the long term plan. This will incorporate the analysis of commercial implications, our competitors and market trends. The role will be key in the analysis of current trading conditions to drive performance, and recommend future initiatives.
You will work cross-departmental and will be a trusted advisor to business leaders. Critically, you will be responsible for taking the lead on product cost and profitability, as well as being a key player in securing incremental revenues, through partnering with the Sales and Operational teams.
You will bring creativity, innovation and strategic thinking to the commercial team. You will add commercial rigor to the things we do and develop customer strategies and propositions across our full portfolio of services that are underpinned by insight and research. To be successful in TalkTalk you will be prepared to get your hands dirty and not just manage, exhibit a desire to get the job done and deliver a high cadence of demonstrable outputs. To be successful in the role you will have the ability to challenge the norm, put yourself in our customers shoes, simplify complexity and provide a strategic view point. You will be able to demonstrate tangible improvements against key KPIs including trading values and volumes. In summary you will use your analytical & strategic skill set to help focus the business on the right things.
Key Aspects and Requirements
Trading:
- Be a key player in Go To Market activities; new products, proposition, promotional activities across our product range and segments
- Analyse trading results and make future recommendations and influence senior stakeholders, across Ops, Finance and Commercial
- Product and Deal profitability analysis
- Support budget and forecasting process
- Review and analyse competitor pricing and promotions to optimise TTB Direct market activity
- KPI reporting
- Support 3rd party supplier relationships
- Know our customers and their needs from first contact, through to in-life
Pricing & Sales support:
- Understand TTBs product portfolio and associated commercials and segments
- Design and implement Product proposition support Sales activity
- Commercial analysis including product profitability, investment business cases and bespoke deals
- Control and review deal sign-off in-line with DOAG
- Support Sales at customer meetings to ‘land’ key deals
- Develop rapport and trust with Sales
- Sales Business Partnering; Product and Commercial education, identify efficiencies through process improvement and help shape capex requirements
- Develop, approve and maintenance of standard tariffs and product pricing
- 3rd party cost analysis and negotiation
- Key billing stakeholder
- Ad-hoc project support
