Metal Concepts Limited – CNC Programmer

2022 is almost here but we’re hiring NOW! We are Auckland’s premier metal design and fabrication business. We incorporate the latest technology in material processing to offer design and fabrication services to the wider Construction and Architectural markets.

Metal Concepts is looking for expressions of interest for the position of CNC Programmer.

We are looking for someone with Sheet Metal programming, CNC Laser cutting and CNC Punch and automation experience. You will be responsible for the production and daily output of bespoke sheet metal panels working alongside our fabricators under the guide of the Operations Manager. Based in our new factory and premise in South Auckland you'll utilise and operate some of the last fabrication technology around.

• Create efficient programmes for Trumpf TruPunch 3000 and Trumpf TruBend 5170
• Use computer software to model cutting paths and programme machines accordingly
• Perform quality assurance tests to ensure products meet design specifications
• Adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimise production while maintaining quality
• Maximise material yield through efficient programming and off-cut management
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines/programmes as they arise

Skills and experience required:

• 3+ years in a similar role (will consider less experience with right skillset)
• Able to read and interpret shop sketches and blueprints
• Good interpersonal, communications and planning skills
