About the role
This role is an integral part of the Medical Oncology Clinical Trial Team. They will be responsible for the data entry for a variety of Cancer trials.
This person is responsible for:
Manage the data entry as per the study requirements
Coordinate with trial coordinators and investigators to ensure timely data entry
Support the trial team with general administrative duties
Assist the Clinical Trial laboratory technician with trial specimen processing in times of high activity or leave

What you bring
Essential Criteria:
Qualification in data management or health or science or a combination of qualifications or experience.
Knowledge of medical terminology with the ability to interpret medical record for required information and results
Able to work proficiently in periods of high demand and activity.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and organisational skills including time management.
Demonstrated effective communication skills both written and verbal.
Demonstrated effective computer skills.
Commitment to the Philosophy of Little Company of Mary Health Care as it applies to the Hospital and the ability and desire to uphold these values.
Covid-19 vaccination is a mandatory requirement unless assessed exempt
Desirable Criteria:
Previous experience in data management in a clinical trial environment
Previous experience in oncology terminology
The Calvary Mater Newcastle is an Affiliated Health Organisation providing services to both public and private patients primarily from the Hunter New England area. Current employees of NSW Health can request to have various leave entitlement balances transferred to Calvary Mater Newcastle on commencement.
