One of New Zealand’s leading regional District Health Boards is seeking Clinical Psychologists with energy and vision for their Healthy Ageing & Rehabilitation Service.

The successful applicant will join a multi-disciplinary therapy-based service providing inpatient and outpatient services to individuals with rehabilitation needs resulting from illness or injury. The position offers the opportunity to provide assessment and therapeutic interventions over a wide scope of clinical practice areas to further develop the psychology role within the service.

Key tasks for this position will include undertaking psychological and neuropsychological assessments and therapy to develop strategies to maximise rehabilitation, as well as supporting families/whanau.

What you will need to apply:

• An interest in working with individual with physical and /or cognitive disabilities (essential)
• Knowledge and experience undertaking neuropsychological assessments
• Working with people with significant long-term conditions (highly desirable)
• A recognised qualification
• To be registered, or eligible for registration, with the New Zealand Psychologist Board (Clinical Psychology Scope of Practice).

A preference will be given to applicants with previous experience working in rehabilitation/physical health settings at middle to senior role level.
