Psychologist – Speciality Medicine and Health of Older People Division WaitematÄ District Health Board – 1.0 FTE

WaitematÄ DHB are in the process of setting up a new and exciting model of care for patients in our community setting and we are excited to advertise a new, fixed term psychology role for approximately 18 months to work in a multidisciplinary model of care alongside occupational therapy, physiotherapy, nursing and MÄori health clinicians, whilst forging connections with our institute for innovation and improvement (i3) team to support the research, development and pathway for patients and whanÄu living with Long COVID. This role will be positioned within our community and outpatient Allied Health team 4.
Within this role you will receive professional and clinical Leadership development including but not limited to: • Support of your personal objectives • Personal professional supervision for support and mentoring of your own skills • Education opportunities • Access to regular in-service training • Networking across the organisation • Opportunity to implement and develop research models alongside tertiary educational institutes
Key skills and attributes: • New Zealand registered Psychologist • 2+ years experience including medical and neurological management • To be able to work autonomously and to be proactive in seeking support when needed
