Ngā mōhiohio e pā ana ki tēnei mahi (About this position)

Our Community Adult Mental Health teams provide comprehensive assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and monitoring of people identified as having moderate to severe mental illness and associated psychosocial issues.

You will be joining our multi-disciplinary teams of Psychiatrists, Registered Nurses, Occupational Therapists and Social Workers, working closely with clients and their families and whānau to develop and maintain a wide range of skills to support and strengthen the recovery process. You will also work closely with referrers and colleagues from other agencies to achieve the best possible outcomes for the people we support. You will provide a wide range of psychological services including assessment, formulation and treatment planning, and therapy sessions.

We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist or Registered Psychologist with at least two years post-registration experience in an acute mental health setting and up-to-date knowledge of current research findings relating to major mental health issues and trends.

You will have excellent interpersonal and organisations skills and will be an active participant in our multidisciplinary teams. You will be the type of person who fits into a cohesive team culture of collaborative practice, openness, humour, and respect across disciplines. You will engender confidence, trust and rapport with clients and their support networks.
