Are you passionate about the care of people who have suffered a stroke? Are you experienced, committed and highly motivated? We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team of Stroke CNSs at Waitematā DHB.

This advanced practice role requires you to use your expertise in assessment and diagnostic reasoning, to provide advice and support about the management of people presenting acutely with stroke, to inpatient nursing and medical teams to ensure appropriate, safe and timely care is received. This is a significant teaching role across all disciplines. You will facilitate the development of staff competence across the services in the management of patients presenting with stroke. You will also provide coordination of care processes across primary, secondary and tertiary care settings as well as a triage service, as appropriate.

If you are a registered nurse with an annual practising certificate, a post graduate diploma in specialty practise as well as five years experience in acute medicine, we would love to hear from you.
