About the Job

This position will have you responsible for providing clinical leadership and management across 98 beds and three levels of care  - rest home, hospital and dementia.

This is a hands on clinical management role providing a safe environment for residents and staff through provision of clinical and professional management, leadership and expertise. You’ll be part of the senior leadership team contributing to the delivery of business requirements. You'll be well supported by the Home Manager but also given the autonomy to drive and set the clinical direction. You will take responsibility for clinical decisions whilst empowering, mentoring and motivating staff to develop their capability and use initiative in problem solving.

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You may also need to provide on-call cover and some weekend work on a shared basis to ensure there is always senior RN cover available.

About you

A Registered Nurse with current APC, you will have at least 5 years of demonstrated experience leading teams and driving quality service provision in the aged residential care sector. You'll have working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, quality and compliance requirements. In addition you:

  • Have excellent communication skills – open, responsive and positive
  • Care about people – residents, their family, colleagues and the team.
