 We are seeking a Clinical and Aseptic Services Pharmacist to join our team in the Hawkes Bay Hospital Pharmacy Department.

 This role offers experience in aseptic compounding and clinical pharmacy services at ward level.

 This will provide opportunity for you to develop (or maintain) your aseptic compounding skills while consolidating your clinical knowledge and skills within a supportive and stimulating environment.

 You will be responsible for:

 The delivery of pharmaceutical care to inpatients, including medicine reconciliation, providing clinically relevant advice, and planning a smooth transition home.

The provision of aseptic products through aseptic compounding of pharmaceuticals (predominantly chemotherapy and biotherapeutic agents), and checking/ordering items made from offsite providers

The improvement and development of pharmacy services to named ward(s)

The development of protocols and guidelines to facilitate the quality use of medicines

Providing support to your Team Leader, through the provision of professional and clinical leadership and training to intern pharmacists and undergraduates

 The position is advertised as a split role in clinical pharmacy and aseptic compounding, however, for the right candidate, this balance can be negotiated and job-sharing may be considered.
