A career in our Sustainability practice, within Risk Assurance Compliance and Analytics services, will provide you with the opportunity to assist clients in developing analytics and technology solutions that help them detect, monitor, and predict risk. Using advanced technology, we’re able to focus on establishing the right controls, processes and structures for our clients to ensure that decisions are based on accurate information and assure that information provided to third parties is accurate, complete, and can be trusted.

You’ll focus on identifying and prioritising sustainability issues, setting goals that support alignment and integration of the sustainability vision into overall corporate strategy, and implementing processes, controls, systems, and dashboards to measure progress for consistent and accurate reporting.

What you’ll create and do
As a Senior Associate, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:
Apply analytical skills and specialist knowledge with our world-class client base
Contribute effectively to complex, multi-disciplinary projects – often supporting several projects at a time
Helping our clients improve the way they report and build trust around their sustainability performance a
Assisting our clients in tackling climate change issues and opportunities by providing GHG reporting, quantification, and assurance
Support internal and external thought leadership
Providing assurance and advisory services to household names in a diverse range of industries – everyone from big-name broadcasters to multinational banks, telecoms operators and energy companies.
Supporting client deliverables in a timely manner
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and ability to share resources and best practices
Business development activities such as assistance in preparation of budgets and proposals and initiating marketing of services to new and existing clients
What you’ll bring to this role
An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work
A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences, developing and coaching diverse teams, and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard
Considerable professional experience in any relevant sector including professional services, consulting, business, government or NGOs
Hands on work experience in sustainability including: training and application of the GHG Protocol, Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), SASB, TCFD and other relevant sustainability reporting standards
Familiarity with sustainability-related management systems, including ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 26000, and other systems
Demonstrated experience with GHG quantification, assurance and reporting engagements including scope 3 and financed emissions;
Understanding of the net-zero and science-based targets initiatives landscape, including climate risk, scenario analysis, and impact measurement
GHG quantification, carbon accounting and assurance
Understanding of the Federal and Provincial regulations related to GHG emissions and other material topics related to environmental issues
Demonstrated experience with green, social and sustainability bonds advisory and assurance, familiarity with the most relevant frameworks
Excellent critical thinking, intellectual curiosity and problem solving capabilities
Strong research, analytical and report writing skills
High proficiency with Microsoft Excel and handling large amounts of data
Ability to maintain high standard to deliver projects/assignments on time
Ability to work collaboratively as part of multi-disciplinary teams
Strong personal initiative, agility and resourcefulness
Excellent oral and verbal communication skills
Bilingualism in French will be considered an asset
