In the Local & Regional Government Team, we care deeply about supporting Local Authorities to get the most out of the solutions they invest in. It is our responsibility to help Public Sector organisations in the UK to make better decisions that result in better care for the most vulnerable members of society. To do that, we need to help our customers become more productive, to get more from their data, and to digitize as many processes as possible to free up time for their people to offer fantastic services, care and compassion to those citizens who need it the most.

 

To help our customers achieve this, Microsoft have a broad family of resources who bring diverse perspectives to our customers. Building alliances with varying stakeholders at our customer to support their Digital Transformation journey. The Account Executive plays a crucial role in building long lasting relationships with Chief Executives, Chief Digital Officers, Chief Information Officers, Directors of Social Care and key business decision makers.

 

We are currently looking for an Account Executive to support and lead our most valued customers in the South East and Channel Islands on their individual and collective digital journeys. Embracing a challenger mindset, the successful candidate will orchestrate and lead their virtual teams and close opportunities with customers that will produce transformative business outcomes. The ambitions for Local Government in South East are significant and the opportunity to transform and make an impact here has never been greater.

 

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead regional programmes around skills, to represent Microsoft in industry forums and use your experience and knowledge of the digital industry and economy, to lead and open conversations for the benefit of society in the area.

Responsibilities

The Account Executive will be: 

 

Business Relationship Owner: You will be responsible for defining the strategic vision, and leading the transformation with the customer’s CxO level Technology, Digital and Business Decision Makers (BDM). This requires leadership skills and ability to challenge conventional thinking. Success will come through achieving our Customer's success

 

Team Mobiliser and Orchestrator: Mobilise the entire account team and direct clear opportunity ownership in strong collaboration with our Partners.

 

Sales Leader and Operational Excellence: Achieving results by understanding digital transformation drivers and customer priorities. Identifying new opportunities and helping customers accelerate their move to the digital age for their own benefit as well as their customers and stakeholders. Delivering consistent, repeatable achievement of revenue and consumption targets

 

Sales Challenger: Continuously building industry and technical knowledge. Bringing innovative industry solutions, benchmarks and references to C-level executives that drive greater efficiencies, optimization and increase customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will offer, or be able to articulate:

  • Track record of engaging CxO
  • Extensive experience in Enterprise Sales, Business Consulting or Consultative Selling
  • Industry Knowledge and ability to make confident recommendations to C-level, business decision makers
  • Public Sector Sales experience is highly desirable 

The role is based in the South East and at this time we would require candidates living reasonably locally and with good knowledge of the local area. Travel will be required within the South East and Channel Islands (and occasionally further afield) for this role, subject to current Covid guidance.
