AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Reporting to the Administration Coordinator, this position Provides program and administrative support to the Human Resources Administration team, assisting in day-to-day duties. Ensures effective delivery of programs, services and responds to general inquiries received by the section.
Respond to customer inquiries/concerns and provide information regarding programs and services, and escalates to appropriate City staff as required
Provide administrative support as related to the area of records management, including filing, minute taking, preparing memos and formatting reports
Maintain records, documentation, and prepare reports as required
Process online forms and provide support on sectional workflow procedures
Assist with data entry and tracking
Assists and provides administrative support with divisional programs and special projects
Maintain an understanding of department programs and services
Understand and adhere to Corporate Policies & Procedures, Confidentiality Guidelines, Emergency Procedures and Health and Safety Standards
Attend meetings/training as required
SELECTION CRITERIA:
Demonstrated working knowledge of discipline specific principles
Two years related experience preferred
Effective customer service skills
Effective time management and organizational skills
Intermediate computer skills as related to area of work
**Various tests and/or exams may be administered as part of the selection criteria.
