About the role and who we are looking for:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Permanent Full Time Cleaning Assistant (30hrs per week) to work at our main NZDF Base in Upper Hutt, Wellington. The role is Monday to Friday 08:00 - 14:00 with the necessity of working one weekend in every month.

What would you be expected to do:

In this position you will be responsible for maintaining high standards in cleaning and presentation throughout the base's accommodation, living area and equipment. This includes bed making, preparing rooms for guests, rubbish removal, maintaining and storing cleaning equipment and chemicals and other tasks as required.  You will have to be able to follow Health & Safety requirements, written instruction as well as fill out documentation on cleaning schedules.

About you:

If you're our perfect candidate you will be hard working, with a friendly outgoing personality and a positive attitude. Ideally you will already have some experience working in commercial cleaning.

You will have a good attention to detail and will be willing to go the extra mile but, most importantly, you will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality.
