ABOUT THE JOB

The cleaner will swiftly clean the overall office compound along with its fixed assets. S/he is responsible to maintain the beauty of plants, outdoor grounds, and trees in a garden, and perform a range of general maintenance tasks including designing, producing, and preserving outside spaces.

Responsibilities:

• Cleaning and washing of all the office premise surroundings when needed.
• Cleaning of all furniture and fixtures using special materials.
• Provide cleaning supplies to all the washrooms and bathrooms.
• Responsible for cleaning and washing with liquids all the washrooms and bathrooms.
• Clean departments’ rooms using electric broom device.
• Collect all the garbage and remove from the compound to the nearest garbage area.
• Ensure food utilities (tea, coffee, milk) are available in the stock. Report to admin in case anything lacking.
• Safeguarding the office equipment’s.
• Ensure the hygiene of overall compound
• Make sure mosquitos sprays are sprayed on need basis in the compound.
• Ensure tea thermoses are well filled from water.
• Maintain and grow the garden to ensure it meets specific requirements and expectations.
• Perform basic maintenance such as cutting the grass, emptying bins, managing weed control and leaf raking.
• Plant and nurture new trees, flowers, and various plants.
• Work with hand tools and basic light machinery such as plant vehicles, and small diggers.
• Service all garden equipment and machinery.
• Maintain a clean garden by clearing rubbish and litter from the garden and grounds.
• Provide guidance to management on matters related to the garden.
• Advise management on the costs of plants and garden necessities with detailed written quotations and reports.
• Ensure a safe environment for staff and clients by adhering to safety and health regulations.
• Any other tasks assigned by the direct supervisor.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role you must have:

Experience and technical competencies: 

• 3 or more years’ experience with NGOs

Education/qualifications:

• Secondary School

Languages:

• Pashto
• Dari
• Basic English
