Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking Delivery Driver to join our fast paced and busy Butchery division located at Melling, Lower Hutt.

What is the job:

• Help load deliveries onto truck.
• Plan the most efficient delivery route for the assigned deliveries.
• Unload goods at destination in the appropriate place.
• Gather any signatures, cash on delivery or credit returns required.
• Fill vehicles with fuel and report on any maintenance requirement
• Perform daily checks – oils, coolant, WOF etc.
• Wash and clean trucks or other vehicles when required.
• Help team in picking/dispatching at the need.

Days & hours of work:

*Immediate start role.

• Monday to Saturday.
• 8 hour shifts/ day (approx.).

*Early morning shift, start time 5:30 am.

Who is the ideal candidate?

You can work unsupervised to achieve results.

You will -

*Have some driving/warehousing work experience.

*Class 1 drivers licence.

• Have clear communication skills.
• Also would have reasonably good reading, writing and arithmetic skills.
• Be confident, flexible and have attention to detail.
• Have prior NZ experience and knowledge of basic food ingredients.
• Have some work experience in handling stocking and restocking of products.
• Be physically strong and fit; should be able to lift up to 25 kg.
• Have a great attitude towards work and be fast learner.
• Possess good organizational and time management skills.
• Be a team player with a positive attitude.
• Have reliable attendance and transport.
