Due to significant and continued investment our Production Support function has a number of new and exciting opportunities for experienced and intermediate Application Support Technologists.
Working as an Application Support Analyst you will play an integral role in running and maintaining the production environment for all applications so that our traders can confidently service their clients.

Department Overview:
These roles sit within our Institutional Clients Group (ICG). You will be working closely with colleagues in APAC, EMEA and NAM to ensure perfect 24/7 support of our franchise critical applications. In addition, you will also partner with Level 0/1 Support team, Application Technology Development teams, Infrastructure teams and the Business Product owners.
You will play an integral role in driving stability and service improvements, developing application knowledge and working with senior business partners across the globe.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical and business support for users of Citi Applications. This includes providing quick resolutions to app issues, driving stability, efficiency and effectiveness improvements to help us and the business succeed
Maintain application systems that have completed the development stage and are running in the daily operations of the firm
Manage, maintain and support applications and their operating environments, focusing on stability, quality and functionality against service level expectations
Start of day checks, continuous monitoring, and regional handover
Perform same day risk reconciliations
Develop and maintain technical support documentation
Identify ways to maximize the potential of the applications used
Assess risk and impact of production issues and escalate to business and technology management in a timely manner
Ensure that storage and archiving procedures are in place and functioning correctly
Partner with appropriate development and production support areas to prioritize bug fixes and support tooling requirements
Participate in application releases, from development, testing and deployment into production
Engage in post implementation analysis to ensure successful system design and functionality
Considers implications of the application of technology to the current environment. Identifies risks, vulnerabilities and security issues; communicates impactAct as a liaison between users/traders, interfacing internal technology groups and vendor
Knowledge/Experience:
Experience in an Application support role is essential
Experience installing, configuring or supporting business applications
Experience with some programming languages and a willingness/ability to learn
Ability to adjust quickly to changes and re-prioritization
Effective written and verbal communications including ability to explain technical issues in simple terms that non-IT staff can understand
Demonstrates analytical skills
Knowledge/ experience of problem Management Tools
Effectively share information with other support team members and with other technology teams
Ability to communicate appropriately to relevant stakeholders
Technical Skills:
UNIX / SQL / Java / HTML / Windows / Linux - Any of these programming languages would be considered highly advantageous
