South East Northumberland Early Help and Children's Centres

We want our children to be healthy, safe and cared for. We want them to have the best start in life, so they can make the most of opportunities throughout their childhood and adolescence. We know that the needs of parents and the family environment have a significant impact on the life chances of the child therefore our Early Help plans take account of the whole family's needs. Our services offer children, young people and their families support to receive the right intervention as early as possible to tackle problems and prevent issues escalating.

A vacancy has arisen for an experienced Children's Service Manager to oversee the delivery of our contract with Northumberland County Council to provide Early Help and Children's Centre Services to families with children aged 0-19 (0-25 for children and young people with additional needs)   

The Children's Service Manager will oversee the delivery of the  Early Help offer, universal services and groupwork through Northumberland's Intervention and Prevention Pathway. Using a quality assurance and performance framework they will be responsible for ensuring the quality of service to meet the requirements of the contract.    

This is an exciting opportunity to join us as we develop a new Family Hub model for Children and Families in South East Northumberland.  The postholder will work closely with colleagues in Children's Centres, universal health services, social work teams and other agencies in the locality area to ensure families receive a coordinated, timely, and early response that meets their needs.
