Requirements

You have

8+ years of experience as a consultant, start-up operator, or people operations pro/HR generalist who is loved by your peers.

Highly analytical thought processes and routinely surface insights others can’t see. Data, good models/frameworks, KPIs, and clear plans are your love language.

Endless possibilities; you enjoy wrangling them and executing in an ambiguous environment. You never have a shortage of ideas.

True athletism in delivery and communications. You can dive deep into a project/process and zoom out to advise on strategy. You understand your audience and tailor your style to land the message.

Great joy when you’re learning and collaborating, but you can put on those headphones and work asynchronously.

Experience with a few of the following / excited to become one: financial analysis, developing operating models and other frameworks to drive decisions, project planning, cross-functional coordination, strategy, and business planning, operating cadence and organizational excellence, payroll and accounting, HR operations, legal operations.

Bonus: you have expertise or experience in HR / People team, L&D, or management/coaching.

You will

Partner with our Sydney-based CEO and leadership team on financial and operational planning, strategy development, and internal communications and cadence.

Continuously seek new ways of working to make the business run smoother and faster. You’ll always be looking around the corner at the next horizon and surfacing key questions and insights to inform what we prioritize and how we execute.

Own finance (e.g., resource-planning, investor updates) and corporate operations (e.g., managing external legal and accounting partners) to ensure smooth operations and compliance.

Jump into strategic projects across the business to get them up and running or improve where they are today based on your strengths and interests.

Evolves with the business; you’ll work with our CEO to craft your personal trajectory to define if/when it’s time for your Chief-of-staff “tour” to end and ownership of a part of the business to begin.

Influence the direction of the business and serve as an ambassador of the business as a Founding team member. Your strong relationship with our CEO will serve as a model of our values, two-way coaching and feedback, humor, and support.

Accelerate the trajectory of The Mintable with your expertise, passion, and drive.

What success looks like

In the first month, you will own a core part of the business. Finance and operations are essential to strategy and smart scaling. You’ll apply your much-needed analytical skills to up-level the team. Having worked for Silicon Valley startups such as Gusto and Brightwheel, Lauren knows how to build and nurture a successful team.

Benefits

The benefits

We offer competitive compensation and equity ownership.

For now, the position is fully remote with a preference for Sydney, NSW

Our team works on AEST (CEO based in Sydney) and MST (COO based in Denver, CO).

We actively invest in personal and professional development; we apply what we teach and pride ourselves on empowerment.

We are personal-life-advocates. We work hard, and we respect what’s sacred to team members. Both founders are working parents and make it a part of our culture to respect priorities outside of work.

We value radical ownership, customer obsession, authenticity and creativity, growth mindset, and celebrating team.

We don’t think about diversity, equity, and inclusion as badges to wear. We’re on a journey as a company and as individuals to make them part of our day-to-day actions. We can’t achieve our purpose of unlocking talent potential everywhere unless we create opportunities for people and ideas from all backgrounds to thrive; to seek a more equitable way, and to help others truly belong.

Research shows that while men apply for jobs when they meet an average of 60% of the criteria, women and other minority groups tend to only apply when they check every box. So if you don't tick every single box above, but you think you would be a great fit for the role we encourage you to apply, we would LOVE to hear from you!

The Mintable acknowledges and pays respect to the past, present and future
