This role is a seasonal role to cover the peak time for visitors to Longstock and will end in October 2022.

Hours Available

There are 2 positions available with the below shift patterns;

1. Sunday (09:30 - 16:30), Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 09:00 -17:00
1 x Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday 09:00 -17:00

About Leckford

Leckford is a 4,000-acre estate near Stockbridge, Hampshire. The estate was purchased in 1929 by John Spedan Lewis, founder of the John Lewis Partnership, and we have been farming it now for nearly 90 years.

We are the Waitrose Farm and our produce is supplied to Waitrose stores across the country. The estate is diverse and our commercial businesses span property, food production, farming, retail and leisure activities.

What will you be doing?

Visitors to the beautiful Longstock Park often treat themselves to a break to enjoy a drink and some food in the cosy and welcoming cafe sitting in the grounds of the grand house.

You’ll be delivering excellent service and availability to customers, through customer contact, replenishment and housekeeping activities, being flexible to meet the needs of the customer.

This role will be in the cafe, covering food handling and preparation with excellent standards of service and hygiene are expected.

You will be engaging with customers, replenishing stock, housekeeping and operating the tills to provide an excellent all round experience.

As this is a customer facing role, high standards of customer service are required as well as the ability to work as part of the team and be flexible in your duties to meet the needs of the Cafe.

Housekeeping also forms part of this role to uphold the standards so good cleaning and display skills are required.

When working in the cafe, you will be required to comply with all specific food safety legislation, procedures and standards.

Support for the running of events may also be required.

What do you need?

- Excellent customer service skills.

- Ability to work as a team.

- Flexibility.

What else could you bring?

- Level 2 Food Safety in Catering Certificate

- Food Preparation in a retail environment
