Job Description:

Harbar Beachbar and Kitchen located in Akaroa is looking for a Chef/ Cook who is able to excel in busy environments with a small kitchen and a manageably small menu consisting of Pizzas (homemade/stone-baked), Tacos, Salads and Bar Snacks.

You'll be working in arguably one of the most beautiful towns in New Zealand and Harbar is RIGHT ON THE WATER with unobstructed views of Akaroa Harbour.

We are open for Lunch & Dinner from 12pm - 3pm / 4pm - 9pm.

You will be working with in a bully-free and abusive behaviour free environment so gone are the old days of feeling belittled and bullied for doing your job.

We are looking for somebody who has the ability to work independently as well as within a small team. The ideal candidate will have passion for food creation, attention to detail, a good understanding of balancing and combinations of flavours as well as a high standard of cleanliness. A knowledge of Low and Slow BBQ style food would be advantageous.

An immediate start is preferred however time can be allowed for the perfect candidate. Pay-rate dependant on experience and proven ability in a busy commercial kitchen environment to work and lead services. References will be required.
