He angitūtanga / The opportunity:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Chef to work at Royal New Zealand Air Force base in Woodbourne, located 8km west of Blenheim. This position is permanent full time rostered across 7 days a week 

Ko o kawenga/Your responsibilities:

In this position you will be responsible for the preparation, cooking and serving of meals for a large volume of people, whilst ensuring the quality of every dish we serve! You will need to be able to cook within budget, assist with ordering and menu development as well as ensuring the health and wellbeing of our customers through allergen and nutrition management. This position is all go!!

He kōrero mōu / About you:

If you're our perfect candidate you will be hard working, with a friendly outgoing personality and a 'can do' attitude. You will already have at least 2 years' experience working in a commercial kitchen and ideally you will hold food safety certificates (Unit Standard 167 and 168) or be happy to train for one. A background in the defence environment would be an advantage but most importantly you will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality.  A full driver's license is required for this role.
